Holistic Massage
Massage has an immediate local and physiological effect on the body through both stimulation and relaxation it can effect all of the body systems in a very positive way; by encouraging better circulation of blood and lymph flow therefore a more efficient delivery of nutrients and oxygen to cells and more efficient waste removal. Massage can increase energy levels as less energy is spent in holding the body in a state of tension and strain thereby reducing the effects of tension, strain and stress, relaxing the body and mind, thereby reducing anxiety and it's effects.
Depending on the type of massage performed it can either sedate or stimulate the nerves either invigorating and re- energising or calming and helping to release tension and stress promoting relaxation.
